Vegan-Friendly Medical Center Launches Online Video Appointments

The Barnard Medical Center has launched a new service to enable patients to speak to a healthcare professional online.

Patients are now able to schedule video calls with doctors, nurses, and registered dieticians at the center — where vegan diets are understood and promoted as a healthy option.

The Barnard Medical Center was founded by Dr Neal Barnard, who is a member of the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine — an organization that emphasizes the health benefits of eating plant-based.

“The Doctor Is Still In”

“Keeping our patients healthy is always our number one priority” said Dr Barnard.

“With many healthcare offices closed in response to this global pandemic, we wanted to make sure that the doctor is still in at the Barnard Medical Center.”

With a physical location in Washington, DC, the center is now also accessible by people in Arizona, California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, and Virginia.

“With telehealth, we can help our patients address a wide variety of health concerns—all from the comfort of their homes” said Barnard.
