Revolutionary Vegan Egg Product To Be Launched In October by Follow Your Heart®

I don’t know about you, but eggs have been one of the hardest thing for me to find a vegan version for. They do come handy for breakfast as well as making delicious baked desserts. Follow Your Heart®, makers of Vegenaise and non-dairy cheeses, will launch a vegan egg replacer called VeganEgg™ to the public available in late October. VeganEgg™ is entirely egg-free and maintains the functional properties of eggs, making scrambles, quiches, frittatas, as well as for use as a binding and leavening agent in baking.

VeganEgg™ is non-GMO, vegan, and allergen free. Also a great source of fiber with 4g per serving, it contains fewer calories and has less fat than eggs.

VeganEgg™ will initially be available online through Amazon.com for $6.99-$7.99. Each 4oz package will produce the equivalent of a dozen eggs. The shelf life of VeganEgg™ is 6 months from date of manufacture.

To scramble VeganEgg™, you simply mix 1/2 cup of iced water (sans ice) with 2 level tbsp of VeganEgg™ and whisk or blend until smooth. Pour into sauté pan over medium-high heat and push with a spatula and scramble continuously until the product is firm.
