Vegan Burger Chain Feeds Frontliners Amid Covid-19

Neat Burger, the UK’s vegan burger chain backed by F1 racing pro Lewis Hamilton, is handing out free meals to medical workers in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The brand has been sharing posts to Instagram keeping followers looped in on its efforts.

“Keeping our nations front line fed,” one reads.

“Today we had the chance to say thank you to our everyday heroes.”

The brand has also partnered with Deliveroo — a local food delivery service— to bring more meals to NHS staffers. An Instagram post announced the collaboration.

“Deliveroo will be making 500,000 meals available to the NHS heroes working on the front line – for free! Neat Burger is beyond proud to be partnered in this incredible initiative,” it reads.

“If you would like to get a free meal to a doctor or nurse, you can donate through the ‘Support your NHS’ fundraising page on the Deliveroo app or website.”

Vegan Brands Step Up In Face Of COVID-19

Neat Burger is by no means the only major vegan brand to join in the fight against COVID-19.

In the United States, meat alternative giant Beyond Meat is also handing out free meals to frontline workers, while vegan brands like Sophie’s Kitchen, Kate Farms and Your Local Seitanist have made considerable donations to support the hungry in their area.
