Scrumptious Vegan Bean ‘Meatballs’ With A Very Special Sauce

Here is another fake meatball recipe that will make you lick your fingers and leave you fully satisfied with a rich, flavorful meal!

If you used to love meatballs before you went vegan, did you know that most likely this was all because of the spices? Recently I have started buying various spice blends for meatballs or for meat, and I’ve been putting them on all sorts of meals, including potatoes. The results are simply amazing! I encourage you to try it for yourself with this simple, but absolutely delightful recipe.

The combination of lightly browned meatballs and a sauce that’s both delicate and intense if very, very good! Add some olives and herbs for luxury and you have a delicious lunch or dinner!

Scrumptious Vegan Bean ‘Meatballs’ With A Very Special Sauce

This makes about 8 bean balls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked beans
  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 2-3 carrots
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 2 tsp meatball spice blend
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp olive oil

For the sauce:

  • 2 tsp tahini
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp agave syrup
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • salt, pepper to taste

Clean the potatoes and carrots, cut and cook together in salted water for 15 minutes. Drain and mix with the cooked beans.Crush everything with a fork, then add salt, pepper, and the meatball spice blend to the mixture plus olive oil (optional).  Mix well and form the balls.

Cook the veggie balls in a heated non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes on each side – adding oil to the pan is optional again.

Mix the ingredients for the sauce and use as a topping when serving this delicious meal.

Combine with a light salad of tomatoes, olives and basil.
