BREAKING: Four Vegan Ice Creams Introduced By Häagen-Dazs

Non-dairy caramel, coconut, peanut butter, and fudge flavors have been spotted at Targets across the country.

Iconic ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs has quietly introduced four non-dairy ice cream flavors to market.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge, Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle, and Mocha Chocolate Cookie flavors have all been spotted in California Target locations and have been added to the brand’s website.

The Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge flavor is made from ingredients including corn syrup, sugar, and peanuts and is soy-, almond-, and cashew-free. Coconut Caramel is made primarily with coconut cream and sugar; Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle is made with a Belgian chocolate base and contains soy; and the Mocha Chocolate Cookie flavor is made with the same nut-free chocolate base and contains wheat (the other flavors are gluten-free).

While the packaging makes no mention of the word “vegan,” according to Vegansaurus,

A  trusted source has verified that each flavor is indeed free of animal products.

A reported fifth flavor—Pistachio Chocolate—is also rumored to be in production. Häagen-Dazs’ entry into the non-dairy market follows the lead of other big-name brands including Ben & Jerry’s and Breyers—which introduced almond milk-based flavors to test markets earlier this year.
