“The results from this year are a good insight into the future consumer trends and while convenience will continue to be key for consumers next year and beyond, we know that they are increasingly looking for more diverse, healthy, gluten free and plant based vegan options”.
The food and delivery service also outlined that the prediction is partially due to to an increase in demand from image and health-conscious consumers, who are social media-savvy.
They have added that demand for healthy choices generally grew by 94% in 2017,
compared to 2016 while gluten free options increased by 72%.
This is all accompanied by the predictions of various media outlets, claiming veganism is going fully mainstream in 2018!
